Icon tutorial

Hello everyone! A lot of people asked me to do a tutorial and now i finally did.
I apologize in advance for my horrible way of giving indications, i hope you'll understand what you have to do ^^'.

Photobucket > Photobucket

Resize the image you want at 100x100 pixels. Go to Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels.
Before Auto Levels | After Auto Levels
Photobucket Photobucket
Now we need some contrast and a lil' touch of darkness, so:  Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast
and make the options as so: Brightness -5, Contrast +8
Photobucket Photobucket
Let's bring some color in the picture. Go to  Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. Put the settings
as so: Midtones 0, -15, +17 | Shadows +11, -7, +16 | Highlights -9, +5, +7. After finished, use Curves
at Input 61, Output 65.
Photobucket Photobucket
Image > Adjustments > Gradient Map. Choose the black&white gradient, put it on Soft light, at opacity 100%
and Fill 40%. After that, go to
Image > Adjustments > Selective color and put the options as so:
REDS
Cyan -6 | Magenta -26 | Yellow +37 | Black +7
Photobucket Photobucket
Use this texture by innocent-lexys on Screen, Opacity 100%, Fill 70%. Go to  Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation
and put the saturation at +12. After that, change the Brightness/Contrast as so: Brightness -3, Contrast +9.
Photobucket Photobucket
Use this texture by innocent-lexys on Soft Light. Curves: Input 59, Output 67. Hue/Saturation: Saturation +12.
Sharpen the icon and you're done :)

I hope you found this helpful. If you don't understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
Do not take this tutorial anywhere else, saying it's yours.

Till next time :)
